The
Sumner Spay Neuter Alliance opened its doors on July 15,
2011. Since opening, Dr. Yvette Pennington has
surgically sterilized 6,301 dogs and cats.
"The
math is simple: the more dogs and cats we spay and
neuter,
the fewer dogs and cats our county has to
euthanize. No one wants
to see these animals put to
sleep just because there are too many
and that is exactly
what is happening. We are here to change
that."

Even
though more than 100 dogs and cats are fixed every week
at
SSNA,
thousands will still lose their lives in our community
every
year
because of too many pet births and not enough homes
for
them
all.
The
clinic is located at 1033 B Union School Road in Gallatin, in
the Bob and Connie Barker Animal Control facility which is a
division
of the Sumner County Sheriff's Office. SSNA
is a private, non profit organization.
SSNA
offers low cost spay/neuter services to the public as well
as shelters and rescue groups. Fees are as
follows: $30 cat neuter,
$40 cat spay, $45 dog
neuter, $55 dog spay. A rabies vaccination is included
in this price if needed. Financial assistance is
available to those who qualify and cannot afford regular
fees.
To make an appointment or for more information
call 452-2233 or visit SSNA's web site at www.SumnerSpayNeuterAlliance.org.
SSNA would like
to thank our community for their continued support. A special
thanks to our generous donors and the Sumner County Sheriff's
Department.
